International Master since 2010, and currently represents Spain. He is also a FIDE Trainer (2020).
In the FIDE Elo list of December 2021, there was an Elo of 2497 points, which made him the 28th player (active) in Spain. Its maximum Elo was 2502 points, on the April 2020 list.
In 2009 he was world champion for the blind and visually impaired in Täby (Stockholm, Sweden). In 2013 he was third in the Sitges Open with 7 points out of 9, the champion was Karen H. Grigoryan and he earned a GM standard.
In August 2015 he was fourth in the Obert de Figueres with 6 points out of 9, tied with the third-placed Frenchman Manuel Valles but with the worst tie, and half a point behind the champion Axel Bachmann.
Pulvett participated in two Olympics for the Visually Impaired in 2008 and 2012, representing Venezuela in 1st place, with a score of (+10 = 4 –2), for 75.0% of the score. In 2012 he won the individual gold medal with the result of (+5 = 2 -0) and a performance of 2440.
In 2013 he participated in the World Championship for the Visually Impaired by Teams, representing Venezuela in the 1st board, with a result of (+7 = 1 –0), for 93.8% of the score and a performance of 2510, obtaining the individual gold medal.
