Grandmaster Sanal(1) won his International Master title(2) in 2012. Sanal became a Candidate Master in 2008 when he won the 4th World Schools Chess Championships - Open U11 held in Singapore, scoring 8.5/9. He won his FM title in 2012 and in that year, also won the European School Championship Open 15 with 8.5/9. He played board 3 for the Turkey 2016 team at the Chess Olympiad (2012), scoring 4.5/9 (TPR 2403).

He scored 8/10 for his team's top board(3, 4) at the 2014 World youth team chess Olympiad.
