Kibitzer's Corner
May-06-08  Gypsy: William Rivier. He clearly was a quite strong player. As <Calli> reports at K Havasi vs De Riviere, 1928, William Rivier played for Switzerland at the 1928 Chess Olympiad where he put up a remarkably good score of +5 -1 =5. http://www.olimpbase.org/1928/1928s...

Tabanus: I suspect he should be merged with Jules Rivier. At least Wikipedia thinks so:

GrahamClayton: Is there any record of Rivier playing in any Swiss Championships? He must have been of a reasonable strength to have played in two Olympiads.
