  Gypsy: William Rivier. He clearly was a quite strong player. As <Calli> reports at K Havasi vs De Riviere, 1928, William Rivier played for Switzerland at the 1928 Chess Olympiad where he put up a remarkably good score of +5 -1 =5.

  GrahamClayton: Is there any record of Rivier playing in any Swiss Championships? He must have been of a reasonable strength to have played in two Olympiads.
