Paris champion 1984 and 1995. French vice-champion 1986 (behind Gilles Miralles) and 1991 (, losing the rapid play-off).

Played in World Team Ch 1985 (board 6), and European Team Ch 1989, 1992 (board 1) and 1997. Played in all olympiads 1986-1996 (board 2 1990-1994).

Karpov's second during the Karpov-Kasparov match in 1989. GM in 1990. Rating peak 2535 in 1993 (world no. 169). In 1996 he won the B-group of the French championship. Training, coaching, and giving lessons the last 10 years. Active ICC teacher, name: renet64
