IM(5) Master Dambasuren Batsuren was one of the top-40 (U-14, active) players for the world and Asian continent by the end of summer, 2017. Previously in 2014 and 2015 he won his CM and FIDE Master titles in youth championships in Asia, respectively. He scored 8 points after eleven rounds at Georgia(2) in 2016 for his age category, improving on 7.5 point(3) and 7 point(4) finishes in 2015 and 2013, respectively at those WYCC events. He finished with ten points after 11 rounds to win the 2017 WYCC U-14 group(1) by a full point (ahead of 2nd place finisher Arjun Erigaisi whom he drew with). He scored 5.5 points after eleven rounds at the World Junior Championship (2017) at age 13.
