Martin Beheim-Schwarzbach (* in London; † in Hamburg) was a German-British writer, chess player and translator. In London he worked as a factory worker, a journalist, an employee at the BBC and finally as an editor. He was active in the London Chess Club, where he made acquaintance with several British top players, in particular Conel Hugh O'Donel Alexander.

After the end of the Second World War, he returned in 1946 as a British officer in occupied Hamburg, where he was responsible for the newspaper "Die Welt" on behalf of the military government.

  Telemus: The two games were both played in 1937 (maybe I can provide exact dates later), but the tournament was for the club championship of the Hamburger Schachklub for 1938.
