Jul-19-18  WorstPlayerEver: Found some pretty odd info.

De Regt faced Capa in a simul on August 1, 1931 in Amsterdam.

The newspapers said he was 16.

However he was born August 5, 1914 and died one day before his birthday on August 4, 1995.

So he was about 17 (16) when facing Capa.
And he died when he was about 81 (80).

I got the info from this: (google) jubileum schaakclub dordrecht 125 jaar (pdf).

It seems he had been ill for a long time, he joined Dordrecht at age 50.

MissScarlett: What's odd? That the newspapers were <exactement>?
Jul-19-18  WorstPlayerEver: Not really, our hero faced Capa about 64 years before he died.. August is the eigth month. But this has nothing to do with chess :P

MissScarlett: I hadn't realised that playing Capa was so injurious to one's health. I believe Alekhine was the most lethal player in chess history.

Get a load of this: Alexander Alekhine

Jul-19-18  WorstPlayerEver: Hmmm.. I just realized Capa lost his title 1 week after his birthday... coincedence?
