ALFREDO GUSTAVO GIACCIO
(born Jul-15-1970, 49 years old) Argentina

[what is this?]
IM (1995); GM (2008).

Giacco's GM norms were acquired due to his results at the 1999 73rd Camp Argentina Superior in Buenos Aires, at the 40th Capablanca Memorial Premier No. 2 in Havana in 2005, and at the 9th Narciso Yepes International Memorial Tournament in 2008. As he had already achieved a rating of over 2500 in 2002, it is unclear why FIDE's ratification of his GM title was delayed five years until its 84th Congress held in Tallinn in September-October 2013.
