He is a Finnish Christian Democrat politician, Master of Theology, and works in Helsinki, pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran mission. By the year 1995 until ?? he was a Finnish Christian Union Youth Chairman. Ebeling has been a City Council member since 1997. He was elected to council again in the 2008 elections. He also serves as vice-chairman of the Board of public transport and the Pro Life Finland Association's chairman. He is a council member of the Christian party.

Ebeling is known as an opponent of abortion law and homosexual behaviour.
