He won the <6th Vinkovci Tournament in 1978>, ahead of Radoslav Simic (round robin of ten participants, no top player).

Klaric was a member of the Croatian Deaf chess national team which won the gold medal at the ICSC Deaf Olympiad in 2010: (picture)
