Sep-19-10		TheAlchemist: An anecdote by Adrian Mikhalchishin... Lepeshkin (then a master) qualified for the 1965 USSR championship. According to Mikhalchishin he wasn't an especially good player, but was later a somewhat renowned theoretician (isn't there a line named after him and Bronstein?). Anyway, he wasn't doing particularly well and finished in last place. In one of the final rounds he played Keres (V Lepeshkin vs Keres, 1965) and a random spectator remarked: "Something incredible happened today! Lepeshkin managed to give check, and to Keres of all people!" (20.Rxe8+ in the above game, perhaps?)
