alexmagnus: Co-Author of "Everything about Chess" (by Karpov). The Karpov-Gik game opens Karpov's "Chosen games 1966-1977" and is in "Everything about chess" in the end of the tactics chapter. The Karpov-Gik game has its own history. Gik became champion of Moscow University two times in a row before Karpov (who at that moment just began his uni study) stopped him on his way to the third title.
