  whiteshark: It's probably <E. Werbak> from Estonia

On Keres vs Verbac, 1933 -- Timothy David Harding wrote (in UltraCorr database):

"I have seen Black's name given as Verbac, Werbak and Vernacher and the year as 1932, 1933 and 1934. According to an item by Carl Eric Erlandsson in E. Winter's book "Chess Explorations" p51, Verbak and 1932 are correct. That dating is right but the name is wrong. Valter Heuer's book "Meie Keres" ("Our Keres" p.93) says the game was played between September and October 1932 i.e. when Keres was 16. Heuer told me that "<Werbak>" was correct spelling; the player was an Estonian so Heuer is almost certainly right."

* Estonian Champion Valter Heuer wrote a.m. major Keres monograph
