Samuel Markovich Zhukhovitsky ( Russian: Самуил Маркович Жуховицкий) was the world's oldest International Master, until his death in 2016. He gained his IM title in 1967 at the age of 50.

Zhukhovitsky was born in Odessa, Ukraine. He was a member of the team Nauka that won silver at the inaugural Soviet Team Chess Cup that was played in Odessa in 1952. Playing alongside team members that included Viktor Korchnoi, Vladimir Antoshin and Efim Geller, he won individual silver playing board 6 (out of 10, including two women). He also played in at least two Soviet Team Championships, in 1967 and 1969, winning individual gold and team silver in the former.

He last played rated games in the Russian Senior Championship in 2002 and lived in Novocherkassk which is a small city in the Rostov Oblast, Russia, located on the right bank of the Tuzlov River and on the Aksay River.
