You're lighting a scene that's faded to black
I threw it away cuz I don't want it back!
But I don't care its all psychobabble rap to me...

| Jun-10-12 | | BlackSheep: <tpstar> Nah , I'm not fuelled by hate that would be illogical and would get me/us nowhere , originally I was curious of the unprovoked sermons because its totally unrelated to anything anyone is talking about (scripture is not part of a creationist/evolution discussion even though it is used its not relevant) but when questioned you just get more parables (thats why I come across as irate I guess but it was more born of frustration thinking we're all friends here and all :) ) . So as no answer was forthcoming I left it with "as you were" knowing that more will surely follow and I wont mention it again . |

 | | al wazir: <PinnedPiece: Thanks for the table. It definitely proves my point, doesn't it.> Surely you jest. Maybe I missed something. (Very likely, since I have so many kibitzers on Ignore.) But I looked at that table, and all it proves is that retail gasoline prices fluctuate. |

Jun-10-12
 | | PinnedPiece: My point is simple: In 2008, as people went to the polls, a certain fraction of Americans believed Barry Obama, the community Organizer and part time college lecturer from CHicago, was going to take over the controls of everything in the United States and provide his loyal tribal following with everything from mortgage payments to gas in their tank. At the time gas was under $2.00/gallon. Now with the new elections coming up, <that same certain percentage> will again vote for Obama, no matter that he HAS NOT put gas in their tank, and IN FACT has presided over a 100% increase (and more) in gasoline price (and likes it!) from when he was inaugurated. Main point: Those deluded Dems are backing Obama no matter how bad the conditions he creates...they will believe he's trying and it is the fault of evil others if he fails and they must continue to believe he will do what he said. Here, let me make it easier for you to understand and loathe: It's like Christians hitting a terrible spot in their lives (e.g. a young child is horribly killed) but yet saying "God knows best, its his plan, he will take care of me and will bring me through this better than ever if I just keep believing in him." . |

| Jun-10-12 | | Jim Bartle: "Barry Obama, the community Organizer and part time college lecturer from CHicago," You mean the United States Senator and former Illinois State Senator? |

Do you have data to back that up? I for one don't recall that he made any campaign promises on either score. Maybe you could supply a link? You're not joking. You're actually serious about this. This is the one of the lamest points I've ever seen. |

It isn't that Obama is wonderful, it is just that he is so much better than Romney. The Republicans' war on women will cost them the election not gas prices.
Besides I wish gasoline was heavier taxed and cost at least twice as much as it does. Taxes are a great way t change behavior. Look at cigarettes.
Well over 90 % of the cost of cigarettes is taxes.
:0) |

| Jun-10-12 | | diceman: <Jim Bartle:
You mean the United States Senator and former Illinois State Senator?>Well, one of 114 Senators. (57 states)
Also, deity, messiah, god of the atheist.
Mahatma of all that’s good.
…and don’t forget, birth certificate sharer. |

Women won the recall election for Scott.

The delusion in all its grandeur. |

 | | al wazir: <PiPi>: Look, if you want to "clarify" that last statement I won't object. Even politicians sometimes need to backtrack when they misspeak. But if not, what exactly is your complaint? Are you pissed because Obama didn't "take over the controls of everything in the United States"? Boy, I never figured you for one of those. I await a clarification or disavowal. |

 | | PinnedPiece: <aw: This is the one of the lamest points I've ever seen.> Please clarify "lame" and provide evidence.
If you mean that my points vary in quality from quadripegically lame to marginally unassisted, or are slyly inferring in a left-hand way that some of my points are not lame at all, or are relatively not so lame when compared with the lamest, or that although some of my points fall within the lower 4th std deviation of lameness, but others are definitely in at least the 3rd std deviation above normal lameness, I guess I can't complain too much. Still a set of data points would be nice.

 | | PinnedPiece: <aw: I await a clarification or disavowal.> Of what? Could you please repeat the point you don't understand? I would suspect a poll of readers here would net a 95% score correct on the following questions: 1) Would <PinnedPiece> agree or disagree with this assertion: some Obama supporters will vote for him no matter how incompetent he is, or how badly he makes their own lives. A) Agree
B) Disagree
C) Actually, <PiPi> has no opinion 2) Would <PinnedPiece> agree or disagree with this statement: On the other hand, a large majority of women who believed Obama's promises, now realize they made a mistake and won't get fooled again. A) Agree
B) Disagree
C) Actually, <PiPi> doesn't care what women think . |

The price of gasoline is irrelevant to me.
I used to buy over 1000 galleons a year. This year I am on track to buy 12 galleons and most of that is for my lawn tractor. Even if it cost a hundred dollars per galleon, I save money. The handwriting is on the wall. :0) |
