KENNETH ROGOFF
(born Mar-22-1953) United States of America

[what is this?]
Kenneth Saul Rogoff learned chess from his father at age 6, but took up the game in earnest when he got a chess set for his 13th birthday. He was soon recognised as a chess prodigy. By age 14, he was a USCF master and New York State Open Champion, and shortly thereafter became a senior master, the highest US national title. At sixteen Rogoff dropped out of high school to concentrate on chess, and spent the next several years living primarily in Europe and playing in tournaments there. However, at eighteen he made the decision to go to college and pursue a career in economics rather than to become a professional player, although he continued to play and improve for several years afterward.

Rogoff was awarded the IM title in 1974, and the GM title in 1978. He was 3rd in the World Junior Championship of 1971 and finished 2nd in the US Championship of 1975, which doubled as a Zonal competition, a half point behind Walter Shawn Browne; this result qualified him for the 1976 Interzonal at Biel where he finished 13-15th. In other tournaments he was 1st= at Norristown 1973 and 1st= at Orense in 1976.

Early in his economics career, Rogoff served as chief economist at the International Monetary Fund and also at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. He is currently the Thomas D. Cabot Professor of Public Policy and Professor of Economics at Harvard University.

Jun-22-12  Call Me TC: <The Polk County Crime Examiner has uncovered more details surrounding the murder of Domino's Pizza delivery driver, Elizabeth Rae Hutcheson.

Hutcheson was murdered on Thursday evening as she delivered a pizza to 229 Thompson Street in Cedartown where the suspects, Cadedra Lynn Cook, 18, and a 15-year-old juvenile resided. Hutcheson was bludgeoned by one of the suspects as the other suspect stabbed her repeatedly approximately fifty times.

The duo also ordered a pizza from Pizza Hut on the same night around the same time. Domino's was the first to arrive at the residence. The Pizza Hut delivery driver arrived at the location to find police already on the scene of the grisly murder.>

Jun-22-12  diceman: <Call Me TC: CEDARTOWN, Ga. - Police say they captured two teens who they believe brutally stabbed a pizza delivery woman. Investigators say Elizabeth Hutcheson was stabbed more than 50 times while delivering pizza at a home in Cedartown on Thursday night.

The stabbing happened just after 9 p.m. at a home on Thompson Street. Investigators say>

Jun-22-12  galdur: On a serious note, as a matter of fact the U.S. and Turkey are practically military adversaries although both nominally belong to the NATO enforcing arm of the Wall St.-London Mafia.

The U.S. has been military beefing up Kurds in Iraq and Iran for years. These guys are spread over border regions of several countries, the most important populations being in Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Syria. Support any part with weapons and it spills over into another one. This indirect military support of Turkish Kurds has destabilized the campaign against them such that the U.S. has twice in the last years tried to get its military buddies there back to power. So, Turkey is in fact extremely unlikely to go to war when some insane puppets of Wall Street tell them to do so. Actually it would very much like to kick out all American bases and be allowed to work its way to democracy in peace. Stay tuned.

al wazir: <Call Me TC: Hutcheson was bludgeoned by one of the suspects as the other suspect stabbed her repeatedly approximately fifty times.> Why do you waste good bandwidth posting these squibs about local crimes of violence? Over a thousand murders are committed every month in the U.S. Do you salivate over each and every one? Do you think the rest of us share your fascination? You should read a good book about the Holocaust or Genghis Khan. That would really light up your day.
Jun-22-12  Petrosianic: <Why do you waste good bandwidth posting these squibs about local crimes of violence?>

That's very common on Facebook. I know one guy who seems to post his local weather daily (usually for the purpose of complaining about it).

Jun-22-12  galdur: The Germans are very very smart and practical which is probably why you never see German sounding names in the leadership of the Wall St.-London Mafia, unless they´re Jews with dual U.S.-Israeli citizenship of course. And when in a such situation with a pass to walk through Pentagon and intelligence agencies at will this opens up all sorts of opportunities for the 51st state and its interests.

But I want to tie smart Germans to Turks. About 1900 Germany had grandiose plans to lay a railroad all the way to the Persian Gulf. Of course they were interested in the oil and all the other trade and economic benefits its extraction would bring. Now, this land route to the east was a huge threat to the London mob. In the preceding century its success had mostly been based on sea transport and very importantly on its mob insurance outfits such as Lloyds, which understandably gave its mob partners very favorable terms thereby helping them in the competition. Imagine being able to roll things cheaply from and to India via rail. Unthinkable! This is how major wars start. Don´t believe the pretenses they feed you.

  PinnedPiece: === A President's Disrespect ===

Do the Obama's respect the United States, its traditions, its wealth, its past presidents, its achievements, its symbols?

Of course not. In fact, Obama invited fellow haters to the white house and got what he expected from them: The F### You symbol aimed at the stately framed image of President Reagan.

http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs...

I know I know, you Obama supporters that actually do like the United States are going to try to defend him with something like "Hey, he didn't know those people would do that. That action doesn't reflect what he thinks."

You are fooling yourself. Better are the AmLibs who confess to hating America and agree that Obama probably laughed at the photos, and nodded his head like he does here, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tceh... to an open degradation of our symbol of one nation, and the freedom it represents.

Of course he thinks allegience to a flag is B.S. Of course he agrees with wife Michelle when she derides the Marine Corps flag protocol on the 9/11 memorial service: "All this for a flag." (If this is not what she said, then what?)

Hey gang, its what they do think.

And this lack of "patriotism" is one important reason why the Obama's are so loved by socialists in Europe.

Jun-22-12  galdur: Oh, I forgot there´s no basic education any longer in the mob run one-party U.S. so I better underscore these points.

By 1900 what is now Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Israel, Saudi Arabia were provinces in the Ottoman Empire. After world war 1 this was cut down to Turkey, what we have now. But its former possessions were cut up in impossible units. Look at the map. You will see the slider rule lines across the lands of the Arabs. It was the London mob´s usual methology - divide and rule. Sadly, they have managed over time to drag Washington into this hopeless policy. I think it´s very dangerous, you have had a race to the bottom as foreign policy is concerned, in my humble opinion. Then I would have to look to the military for signs of intelligence but idiots that get promoted aren´t likely to produce very impressive stuff beneath them. Once again I must resort to my tired argument - you can´t maintain a one-party mob-run system without peridiocal purges. You got to shoot people. Otherwise things get out of hand. I will continue visiting this argument.

Jun-22-12  galdur: Well, it isn´t like I´m re-inventing rocket science here. In the 80´s Lee Hamilton told America that disclosing Iran-Contra would be too painful for America. Hanging them would somehow cause you to suffer too much to make that exercise of benefit to you. Then this joker re-appeared as co-chairman of the 9/11 Commission. I think that this is is all a fairly common psychobabble, maybe some of my readers have encountered it during their lives. Everything revolves around the psychopath, you must not disturb his status or very bad things may happen to you.

PinnedPiece: What happens when journalists, who pretend to be main stream media, lose control of their ability to disguise their opinion? This following incident could happen to almost any of our current network talking heads, or internet news writers...Tom Brokaw, Katie Couric, Brian Williams, or David Gregory not exempted:

<"Regrettably, an unacceptable number of Joe Williams's public statements on cable and Twitter have called into question his commitment to this responsibility," POLITICO's founding editors John Harris and Jim VandeHei wrote in a memo to the staff. "His comment about Governor Romney earlier today on MSNBC fell short of our standards for fairness and judgment in an especially unfortunate way.">

<"Joe has acknowledged that his appearance reflected a poor choice of words," the continued. "This appearance came in the context of other remarks on Twitter that, cumulatively, require us to make clear that our standards are serious, and so are the consequences for disregarding them. This is true for all POLITICO journalists, including an experienced and well-respected voice like Joe Williams.">

http://www.politico.com/blogs/media...

Finally what he was saying in private began creeping into all his communications. He has been suspended from Politico.

These "journalists" and writers normally can submerge their overt dislike of conservatives, or wealth, of individual enterprise and freedom, of moral lifestyles, under a layer of selective emotive words that will do the work for them.

Now and again you get a self-exposed Joe Williams.

I knew you'd eventually say something I agreed with.

Jun-22-12  galdur: Let me spell it out for you. When your behavior is totally out of control in a one-party political system it is time for very severe behavior-modification measures. The threat of dying has long been a very strong incentive in this regard. But nowadays this has all been fenced off long ago. It isn´t acceptable at all to execute people. It´s about human rights. Well. I beg to differ, I think it´s more about damage to society.

PinnedPiece: <JB> I do not subscribe to cable. I could afford it...and certainly watch when in motels while on the road. I raised my children TV-free that way. Both of them have no regrets for missing years of broadcast crap and ridiculous sitcoms....

But I am very curious as to how you receive Fox News...Cable in Peru transmits it?

btw it very well may be that Fox reporters are biased conservative. OK. That's what, one against twenty?

Jun-22-12  galdur: Hey, heres´s a very novel idea. What if we send send the top levels of the ruling mob to the great beyond? Surely there must be honesty to be found down there eventually.
