May-03-06  BIDMONFA: Jeroen Bosch

BOSCH, Jeroen

_

Jun-27-06  Runemaster: I think this player's name is identical to the famous painter of centuries ago, Hieronymus Bosch (a pseudonym, though, from the painter's town of Hertogenbosch). Hieronymus is the Latinised version of Jeroen.

A scary guy to sit down opposite - you'll never quite what might appear on the board!

Jun-27-06  offramp: ...And Geronimo is the Spanish version of Hieronymus.
Jun-27-06  Runemaster: English would be Jerome, I think - Italian Girolamo. Hieronymus sounds the best to me, though.
Jun-30-06  Runemaster: The Mighty Bosch (obscure/alternative British comedy reference).
May-03-08  Eastfrisian: A talented player in my eyes, but he doesn't come higher in the ranking. Stellwagen, Smeets, L'Ami and others seem to be better in the moment.
