strifeknot: People who aggressively champion the debunked, unhealthy Atkins diet and demonize fruits, grains, and carbs.
Feb-03-11  Jim Bartle: Lombardi was one of the first to play blacks at the traditional "white" positions, such as linebacker. As LB Henry Lee Jordan said, "He treats as all the same...like dogs."

How the heck did Green Bay run out of running backs back then? Wasn't the big controversy Hornung/Taylor vs. bonus babies Donnie Lee Anderson and Jim Grabowski? They seemed to have a surplus rather than a deficit.

I agree that today's players are amazingly large, fast and strong these days, whether via illegal breeding or not. A different world. Pick up a copy of "Paper Lion" and look at the photos of all those greats. They look vaguely like normal human beings, somewhat larger and stronger.

Feb-03-11  Jim Bartle: Uh, wannabe, wasn't Mark Chmura known for something else beside football?

HeMateMe: My friend from Milwaukee was telling me that "Chewey" would stay in the mens room at the Brett favre Steak House in Milwaukee, and girls would enter the room, to discuss football with him...

He also got in trouble for tipping the baby sitter too much.
