jaime gallegos: This is Carlomagno Oblitas, peruvian chess player ! Juan Carlos Oblitas is other peruvian... he was en excellent soccer player who went two times to the World Football Championship ( Argentina 78 and Spain 82 ) , he was also champion of the South American Cup with Peru on 1975 ( and was the scorer of that tournament ), he played very fast on the left attacking with brilliancy and intelligence ! Lately he was the coach of the Peruvian National Team, and now he is the coach of a brand new soccer team of Peru ...
Apr-05-04  Jim Bartle: Sorry about that. Jaime is right, both on the names, and about Juan Carlos Oblitas as a football player. (He also scored the only goal to beat Argentina in a World Cup qualifier in 85, and Argentina won the whole thing the next year!) But who knows, maybe Juan Carlos playe chess, too?

One might say it was somehow oblitarated from your consciousness.

An alternative to obliterated I have oft heard is 'obliviated'.
