Mar-30-06  Whitehat1963: The Jure is still out on this guy, will he ever leave his mark among GMs?
Mar-30-06  Jim Bartle: Ah, a pun backed by an astute allusion!
Mar-30-06  Whitehat1963: Thanks, <Jim Bartle>, check out one of his games: J Zorko vs D Vrban, 2005

TheAlchemist: I've met Jure on a few occasions, I haven't played him yet, though (and even if I did, the result would be inevitable). He's a very nice guy. His birthday is August 4 1988, he is a FM and his current elo is 2339 (as in the profile). He won several medals in the national junior championships, and competed well in some European and World junior championships.

Once, in a team competition, my team played against his and one of my friends, who has a rapid rating of about 500 points lower than Zorko, managed to beat him, which was the biggest sensation of the tournament. After the game, when the arbiter picked up the results sheet, he went over to Zorko to ask for confirmation, he probably thought it was a mistake :-).

These are two nice games of his I witnessed partially (I was playing in the same tournament):

J Zorko vs M Crepan, 2003

J Zorko vs P Petek, 2003

Oh, and his playchess handle is <zore>. But I'm not sure if he still plays there.
