Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-28-05  whithergoes: Ignatius Leong is now the new FIDE (or should I say Kirsan) appointee for General Secretary. We wish him the best of luck in managing an organization whose roots are as timeless as the Royal Game itself.
Jun-14-11  wordfunph: 2004 Calvia Chess Olympiad: One day, Chief Arbiter Ignatius Leong unplugged the electronic boards of the Spanish B and C teams who were playing on stage to protest against the fact that some of his arbiters had not yet been paid. As a reaction, he was told that if he tried to do this again he would be denied access to the playing hall.
