[what is this?]

The Advanced Software Company (TASC - TASC R30 (Computer) ) designed ChessMachine. Gideon - also known as REBEL (Computer) - or The King (Computer) were two types of cards that were compatible with the split personality of the hardware unit. Shortly after the climactic events of the 1992 WCCC, Gideon 3.1's Mephisto (Computer) was later sold as part of the Saitek Risc 2 (Computer) architecture, which Saitek subsequently acquired.
