Feb-18-11  BLarsen1967: Maria Berea competed in the 1952 Candidates Tournament(w). It appears that very few games have survived from that event, not unusual in women's chess, their games tend to evaporate up in thin air,at least in the past, perhaps the females back then were unfamiliar with the art of hand writing? -- Anyway,Maria B faced too strong opposition and finished near the bottom of the crosstable,Bykova winning the tourney. -- Here's the game vs Fenny Heemskerk, the Dutch lady, who this time played the tourney of her life, finishing second.
