  Tabanus: Michel Roos (27 Aug. 1932 - 7 Sept. 2002), France. Professor of the Faculty of Medicine in Strasbourg.

French CC champion 1957. French OTB champion in 1964. Author of Histoire des échecs (Paris 1990) and Le Jeu d'échecs (1993).

He is the father of IM Jean Luc Roos, IM Daniel Roos, IM Louis Roos (French champion in 1977), and WIM Celine Roos.
