This GM is a brother of Andrey Vovk. Winner of Cappelle la Grande (2009). Placed 5th with 7.5/11 at the European Individual Championship (2015), thereby qualifying for the World Cup (2015) where he defeated Ray Robson in the first round. He lost to Wei Yi in the blitz tiebreakers after the standard games and the two sets of rapid tiebreakers were drawn and therefore exited the event.

He was equal third at the 33rd Andorra Open 2015.

1st on tie in closed GM "Lake Sevan" 2007 (cat. 12). Joint 1-2 in closed GM "Saratov 2007" (cat. 11). Ukrainian U20 champion 2007. Winner of Cappelle-la-Grande Open 2009. I charge moderate money for lessons. I am studying in Lviv National University in Ukraine. I'm active chess player that tries to avoid all obsolent and reflect new tendencies in chess in a right way. I'm very good in teaching you to play sharply. But of course not bad to teach positional play too!
