It's highly 'unlikely' (e.g. an authority like User: nimh can weight in) a healthy IM would leave the rock with a performance of 1633 against avg. 2034 that year. Unchecked data taken from Saunder's page.

Therefore a possible 'Jan/Feb 2005 disaster' is not present in https://ratings.fide.com/profile/22... .
