Airlock: 17. Nc7 does not look good to me. Perhaps 17. Qf2 is better.

|
Airlock: This is a great name: Nuke Em Rashkovsky!

Airlock: I've met three men, two american and one british who hated Montgomery's guts. They claimed he got guys killed because of his ego. None of them knew each other, all said this independently.

Airlock: Many of the comments here about Kramnik are silly. To say he is a patzer is silly.

Airlock: Don't forget staunton and Blackburne. They were pretty good too.

|
| | Jun-04-05 Jose Raul Capablanca
| |
|
Airlock: It is my understanding that a book was published in Argentina about Capa's match with Alekhine. It was intended to be as comprehensive as possible, including stories by people who were there. Does anyone know if this book was published and has it been translated into english?

Airlock: I have played on internet sites and been accused of using a computer, even though I wasn't. A lot of players seem to use this as an excuse for losing, as if they are so good that they can't be beaten otherwise.

| | Jun-04-05 Steinitz vs Maurian, 1883
| |
|
Airlock: Lasker more or less said that Steinitz was more of a thinker than a player who hampered himself with his stubborness.
