Hi there. I'm from Los Angeles, a college student at UCLA. I'm farely new at chess, I just try to learn as much as I can. My rating fluctuates up and down between 1250 and 1300. Obviously I'm a huge fan of Capablanca, his matches are always extremely insightful, and great to learn from.

AltoidJunki: How does 29. Nxg6 Rxb2 lead to mate?

AltoidJunki: I don't see what the threat is at 19. . .Qa5. Can someone help me? Why does the rook move? I assumed it is to protect the c3 square but I can't see why. Bc3 and black loses the exchange, so I must be missing something. Is there a fault with 19 ... Qa5 20. Qc2?

AltoidJunki: Instead of 42 ...d2, Karpov should have done 42...Qxb6?
