I would consider myself a low intermediate player. I am not well-versed to combinations and such, but I do know a little. I live in Washington DC and the only rating I have is on Yahoo (1330). My favorite player is Bobby Fischer, but I am also partial to Tal because of his sacrificial attacking play.

AzaleaCastle: I heard that Topalov has some sweet nunchuk skills and ninja skills. Plus, he has a moustache and goatee. That's worth at least 2 games right there.

AzaleaCastle: Hi all. What if 29 Qh8+ Kc7 ? I think there is still a game right?

AzaleaCastle: Prince Philip is so prescient. I wouldn't have thought to predict those outcomes!

AzaleaCastle: It looks like the rest of this tournament is going to be draw draw draw. Wouldn't tournaments be more exciting if the rule was winner is first to 7 wins?

AzaleaCastle: MTal, the tiebreak procedure is as follows: 1) The contestants engage in a 2 minute blitz "Your mama is so..." trash talking contest. 2) If still deadlocked, the contestants arm wrestle. 3) If still deadlocked, the contestants engage in a debate over who was greater: Fischer

AzaleaCastle: Boy, Mr. Sax went out both barrels blazing. I like that kind of play. Go for broke...

AzaleaCastle: Diggity, thanks for the link. Note to self: find out where some of these ladies are playing and join that tournament pronto ;-)...
