Hi All! My name is Flemming Amigo and I'm Danish. a philosopher by education. Unmarried (but I do love women) -- Well,I'm not an active chess player, unfortunately, because very quickly I realized that I just dont have what it takes,I dont have that certain 'killer instinct' which I do believe is required to really 'make it' at Top Level,it's not part of my character. I guess I'm too much of a Buddhist - If I were to win a game I'd just feel too much compassion for my opponent and if I were to lose, then I'd have too much compassion for myself - thus I'd be forced to draw all the time! (and only Tigran Petrosian could get away with that at Top Level!) -- So instead I concentrate on Chess History, opening theory, and especially Women's Chess. I dont mean to be dogmatic here, like claiming women's chess is so much more interesting, but at least to me it's immensely fascinating, mainly because it's such a hugely unexplored field. To me it's not much Fun kibitzing to some Fischer Game,10000 others have done that, already, and they're all better chess players than I am - so,no no,let me 'handle' a Tatiana Ratcu Game, that's what I like... Feel Free to come and see me here and talk about All & Everything.

BLarsen1967: a different path for Black would be 17..Ng7 - we might get 18.Re4 h5 19.Rde1 Ra7 20.Nh2 Rf5 21.b3 and White has more space,must be a little better

Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-17-11  Lennonfan: <Blarsen1967> hey,i seen you got your own forum page,im glad and honored to be the 1st person to post here lol...congrats to arsenal last night, and van persie especially..if there's any sports talk other than chess we'll try keep it here if thats ok? And i wouldn't worry about what <jessicafischerqueen>has to say on GM shorts page,as its full of discussions on war, sport, music, and of course chess, which mr short occasionally engages in with other kibitzers himself..there's a certain few ppl of maybe 5 or 6 on this site who are very close nit,and care not what anybody else thinks but themselves, and look down on ppl like you and i and 95% of others for that matter,so please feel free to carry on challenging me on all things football, chess, volleyball etc..no matter who's forum where on,as i value your opinions, unless someone complains which is of course different...

BLarsen1967: Welcome here <Lennonfan>! Well,ok,jumping directly to that 'off-topic discussion'. You know, when I addressed jessicafischerqueen,it is not that she has complained (of course she might have, but in that case I dont know anything about it),I just felt per intuition, that she and others too might've 'grown' very dissatisfied with what was transpiring on GM Short's player page. It was only later yesterday that I went to the cg.com administrators' site (for the first time, actually) and there I noticed that indeed Jessica has what I'd call quite a 'puristic' attitude. My own position, opinion or attitude: I think it's ok to write 1 or 2 non-chess messages, because it HAPPENS,life is like that, and it seems to me that almost all the most active kibitzers occasionally do digress. It might be within the chess field, but still, why is it that some ppl discuss Tal's chess at length on Spassky's pages? Or Nakamura's chess on Anand's pages? (just examples, might not be the truth literally, but you know what I mean)

The problem of course is that things tend to accelerate, that's why I wanted to stop my own off-topic 'contribution' at Nigel Short's pages. People get carried away,me too!

Enough of that for now. We might talk more about this, and also the other things you mentioned. (I'll write a few football words in a separate post,I saw Liverpool vs Sparta)

Mar-16-11  Penguincw: Third. I have a question for you . Are (or were) you a huge fan of Bent Larsen? If so,then are (or were) you really sad when he passed away,or just sad?

wordfunph: <BLarsen1967: Hello <wordfunph> - I wonder if you know anything about a player named Ruben Reyes? I remember him from the Leipzig 1960 Olympiad,he did very well,a 68.8 percent performance. - But he seems to be quite an obscure figure in chess history,I cant find any info about him on the internet>

<BLarsen1967> sorry i have no info on Ruben Reyes though he's known here as a great player. He may be in the US but i'm not sure, will ask my friends and maybe could provide you his whereabouts.
