BaranDuin: Nc6. The Chigorin is the most interesting option that doesn't allow white to play "two results" chess. 2. ... c6 allows 3. cxd5 cxd5.

BaranDuin: Carlsen-Movsesian looks equal to me as white will have trouble attacking the only weakness in the black camp

   Dec-23-08 M Gurevich vs N Miezis, 1996 (replies)

BaranDuin: To be fair to the Budapest, black didn't play the best moves in the opening. 10. ... d6 was required to prevent c5. After that white would still have a small advantage, but nothing black shouldn't be able to defend.

BaranDuin: Now I wouldn't have expected the Caro from Topalov.

Sep-03-08 A Nickel vs The World, 2008 (replies)

BaranDuin: <kwid>, after 3. ... e6 black can go for a Sveshnikov with 5. ... Nf6 instead of 5. ... Qc7. Which seems to give black enough winning chances.

   Aug-20-08 Graham Bolt (replies)

BaranDuin: Hey, I have drawn against this man. The real G. Bolt, that is.

   Dec-06-07 Kibitzer's Café (replies)

BaranDuin: I tought about Rybka for awhile. I heard an interview where the programmer clearly stated that she was female. But I checked al her short games and found no banner. there was also one Short variation of the Caro-Kann.
