1.e4 - "Best by test". Must confess a strong attraction for the Trompowsky, though. Still fighting the temptation. Favorite players:

-for their skills, playing style and achievements: Robert James Fischer, Garry Kasparov, Mikhail Tal, Anatoly Karpov

-for their common sense and gentleman behavior: Mikhail Tal, Max Euwe, Yasser Seirawan

Bogdanel: The issue was whether Kramnik is or isn't the type of player who can score big plus scores in tournements. Since he won only one tournement with a +4 score, long time ago, I guess we can fairly conclude he is not that type of player. Here it's not about Kramink playing drawish or ...

Bogdanel: Congratulations GM Nisipeanu, for being the first romanian player to break the 2700 "sound barrier". Way to go!

Bogdanel: I play the King's Indian vs 1.c4. I don't see how white can do better if he doesen't play d4 at some moment...never had serious problems against 1.c4...but maybe because I played only internet blitz against this opening, and probably against not very strong players. If someone good
