   Jul-18-18 Spassky vs Fischer, 1960

Brain Gremlin: Spassky throwing the match is unconvincing for following reason: Fischer arrived in Reykjavik with his record high rating of 2785. He left with the world title and a reduced rating of 2780 because Spassky scored more highly than the initial difference in their ratings would ...

   Jun-17-18 Kasparov vs Gulko, 1982

Brain Gremlin: 19.Qh3? Hoping for 19...Kxg7 20.Bh6+ Kg8 21.Qg3+ Ng4 22.Qh4#. Black squashes this immediately with 19...g5. The young Kasparov too optimistic?

   Jun-17-18 Tigran Vartanovich Petrosian (replies)

Brain Gremlin: If Fischer hadn't walked out of the Sousse Interzonal in '67 he could have been the challenger instead of Spassky. I think Petrosian vs Fischer in '69 would have been a much more competitive match than Spassky vs Fischer in '72.

   Jun-06-18 B Adhiban vs D Andreikin, 2017 (replies)

Brain Gremlin: Medium/easy? Not for a weak-ass player like me. This one required some thought.

Brain Gremlin: Trademarking a phrase like "i'm lovin'it" doesn't mean preventing all human beings everywhere from using it. It only prevents other commercial enterprises from employing it as a marketing catch-phrase.

May-31-18 Anand vs Kasparov, 1996 (replies)

Brain Gremlin: This was the Credit Suisse 96 rapidplay tournament. Anand & Kasparov tied 1-1 in the final, then played a blitz match playoff. This was the final game.Victory for Anand in game and tournament. No wonder Kasparov looked sick.
