|May-16-17|| ||OhioChessFan: <Chess-Results website also shows Round 6 games being played on Turs. >|
Tursday is my favorite day of the week.
|May-16-17|| ||Chessgames Bookie: <WannaBe: Hello Bookie,
Can we end this leg of competition tomorrow?
*sigh* the rabbit is always looking for the easy way out. <WannaBe> you are playing a nice round...so far. All you have to do is hold that position for another 50 days or so. You can do it. ;)

I've been hanging around my relatives from Brooklyn too long. It's starting to show. ;)
|May-16-17|| ||OhioChessFan: <Plenty of time to work out your strategy for the final 4 rounds of play. >|
|May-17-17|| ||Annie K.: 2017 FIDE World Chess Moscow Grand Prix Round 6: Ding Ling - Vachier-Lagrave |
Hehehehe... errm, Ding who? ;)
|May-17-17|| ||OhioChessFan: This little song, it ain't so sad....|
|May-17-17|| ||Chessgames Bookie: <Annie K.:Hehehehe... errm, Ding who? ;)>|
I didn't catch that <Annie K.>. No insult intended there. I have no idea how I did that one....yikes! Before all the Chinese fans jump all over me I better correct that.
|May-20-17|| ||Chessgames Bookie: Tomorrow, Sunday 5/21, is the final 9th round of the 2017 FIDE World Chess Moscow Grand Prix.|
|May-21-17|| ||Chessgames Bookie: Congratulations to Ding Liren on winning the 2017 FIDE World Chess Moscow Grand Prix! We will have an off day or two while I look for a tournament to post some games from.|
The next big event coming here (June 5th-June 17th) is the Altibox Norway Chess 2017 tournament! All of the top players will be there. Stay tuned!
|May-22-17|| ||chessgames.com: We're due for a Payday soon, aren't we? CG Bookie, give the word and I'll distribute the 1000 c$ to all players.|
|May-22-17|| ||Keyser Soze: Please! I got hammered on last leg|
|May-22-17|| ||Chessgames Bookie: <We're due for a Payday soon, aren't we? CG Bookie, give the word and I'll distribute the 1000 c$ to all players.>|
Sure <chessgames> give them their payday.
The extra chessbucks they get will eventually find their way into my pocket. ;)

The losers of the Ceegee bookie game begging for more cb's LOL. They should be more careful with their cb's, but losers gonna lose.. Dang.. Yikes LOL 😂
|May-22-17|| ||Chessgames Bookie: Ok, I have found a couple of games we can post for tomorrow from the 'Spring Chess Classic' being held in St. Louis, Missouri U.S.A.. I would really like to post a few games from the 'Top 12 - French Team Championship 2017' tournament. The problem with Team events is that they don't post the pairings in a timely manner. So no promises there.|
I will have a few games up & running soon.
|May-22-17|| ||User not found: Top man Mr Bookie.. I plan on having a good run this leg, more P3's if possible :)|
|May-22-17|| ||Chessgames Bookie: <User not found: Top man Mr Bookie.. I plan on having a good run this leg, more P3's if possible :)>|
You'll see a few more P3's <User not found> come the Norway tournament June 6th. A bit of a 'dry spell' for the next two weeks I'm afraid. We have already had 9 P3's to this point, I believe, so there has been no shortage of them.
|May-22-17|| ||Chessgames Bookie: A few games have been posted from the Spring Chess Classic - Group A Round 8 being played in St. Louis, Missouri. Place your bets!|

No problem Mr Bookie. We've all had dry spells ;) It's those who moan when they've lost all their cb's and come asking for more, they should #WagerWisely :)
<We have already had 9 P3's to this point, I believe, so there has been no shortage of them.>
I know sir, I've done okay but only with the baby bets.. Everytime I bet big on the single games I just seem to break even, it all averages itself out. I need to get back to the form of 2 years ago. I think sometimes it's not a bad thing to be at the bottom of the table and get those massive loans from the loanshark because even if you do lose you can borrow more and more and more until the last day and go for... more broke, lol :)
|May-22-17|| ||Chessgames Bookie: The 1000 chessbuck Payday has been added to all member's accounts that are playing the ChessBookie game.|
|May-23-17|| ||varishnakov: The 1000 was almost enough to bring my balance up to 0. :-)|
|May-24-17|| ||FSR: Wow, I went into plus territory for the first time this season (2,087 cb), although I'll no doubt lose that status after Quesada Perez-Akobian finishes.|
|May-24-17|| ||Chessgames Bookie: Congratulations to Varuzhan Akobian for winning the Spring Chess Classic Group A 2017 with a score of 6/9.|
I have found a few games from the 36th Zalakaros Open 2017 taking place in Zalakaros, Hungary that we can wager on.
We are nickel & diming our way to the Norway Chess 2017 tournament. Not sure we can come up with enough quality(2600 & up) games to get us there but we'll try. ;)
|May-24-17|| ||sydbarrett: Fret not, varishnakov. Only two weeks ago, I was near dead last, just like you. Negative something; I forget the amount. It matters not... I am near the top again, as destiny decrees that I be|
|May-26-17|| ||Chessgames Bookie: Congratulations to GM's Zubov & Rapport for both finishing with 7/9 pts. in the 36th Zalakaros Open 2017. According to Chess-Results Zubov took first place after the tie break. Both of these players won their final round 9 game.|
We will have a day(or two) off while we wait to see what tournament looks promising to post some games from. The Capablanca Memorial is supposed to be starting tomorrow. I am surprised none of the websites are showing much about this tournament.
This is the line-up from what I have seen so far:
<52nd Capablanca Memorial
GM Ivanchuk Vassily UKR 2738
GM Cordova Emilio PER 2645
GM Sasikiran Krishnan IND 2669
GM Shankland Samuel USA 2676
GM Piorun Kacper POL 2638
GM Ortiz Suarez Isan Reynaldo CUB 2570>
Not as star studded as in past years but good enough for our purposes. Stay tuned to see what develops.
|May-26-17|| ||Chessgames Bookie: Ok, Chess24 has finally recognized there is a tournament going on in Cuba tomorrow. If the pairings for the 52nd Capablanca Memorial are out soon enough I will post a few games today. No pairings posted yet.|
