   Feb-18-18 Lasker vs Teichmann, 1909

CountryGirl: nice example

   Feb-03-18 Alana Chibnall (replies)

CountryGirl: Great experience for Alana at Gib! (But is the King's Indian a good fit?)

Jan-30-18 Adams vs Julio Suarez Gomez, 2018

CountryGirl: Definition of an optimist: someone playing black against Micky Adams in a Tarrasch French... :)

   Jan-29-18 Carlsen vs A Giri, 2018 (replies)

CountryGirl: OK, where'd Giri go wrong?

   Jan-26-18 Carlsen vs W So, 2018 (replies)

CountryGirl: "Castling? Castling?! I don't give a rat's ass about your lousy damn castling!" - M. Carlsen.

   Jan-26-18 Kramnik vs M Matlakov, 2018

CountryGirl: OK, Vlad, we get it - you win with the Giuoco Piano no matter which side you play!

Jan-26-18 Yifan Hou vs Caruana, 2018

CountryGirl: Hou is coming across as more Vera Menchik than Judit Polgar in this event - but hey, I totally admire her spirit and determination. This kind of experience will make the gap between her and other female players unbridgeable.

Jan-26-18 Anand vs Kramnik, 2018 (replies)

CountryGirl: Split feelings on this result. I love Anand - but I also like seeing the Giuoco Piano getting kicked in the butt!

Jan-26-18 Carlsen vs Yifan Hou, 2018 (replies)

CountryGirl: Wow. Carlsen's opening doesn't seem to gain any advantage. But then he spins gold from an exchange sac and his greater endgame space and control of b8. What a maestro.

Jan-18-18 Anderssen vs Morphy, 1858 (replies)

CountryGirl: My favourite move here was 32...Qg6. No mucking around by Morphy! - he's got an extra queenside pawn and a much better placed king, so who cares about opposite colored bishops? A very modern feel to that.
