Diademas: <<cro777><GM Alex Colovic>:>[...] < the general idea was that in every position there should be a move that is if not the best, then at least better than all the others.> I have no idea what that means.

Diademas: <<morfishine> You are mere spectators, so spectate and otherwise, shut up> I think you may have misunderstood the point of this site...
   Jul-30-17 Kenneth S Rogoff (replies)
Diademas: <<morfishine>: But no, all those sap spewing liberals want to give everybody one more chance, one more chance, once more chance, one more chance, one more chance, one more chance, one more chance, one more chance, once more chance, one more chance..... Its all Stalinistic ...

Diademas: I should have known better than to wander into the Rogoff page without adult supervision. Hopefully I can soon gracefully bow myself out of there. It is kind of like having an itch, you know you should not scratch it, but you realy, realy want to... ;)

Diademas: Being the least sucsessfull chess gambler in recorded history I want it to be known that all players, good or bad, should be welcommed in each seasons. It is after all just a silly past time. If anyone feels their chance of saving $29 is in jepardy, let me recomend paid employment.

john barleycorn: <MarkFinan> Maybe it is time to come out and reveal to <AJ> that I am gay...will it matter to him? A premium membership is a premium membership and he will "forgive" me. Or will he ask for a "proof" of my sexual orientation?

Jim Bartle: That angelfire page is just the standard far-right, detached-from-reality stuff spewed from true believers, who read far-right websites, listen to Glenn Beck, and believe them. But this is a chess site, so no need to dissect it.
Dec-04-13  MarkFinan: JayBee.. I'd logged out for the night, but had to come back as my video downloader on my phone only seems to recognise the url links posted on this site! Why im actually ttelling this I do not kno, I tthink old focus illness is catching on. But... How about this... You and I are gay lovers!! Through the magic of ceegee we met, I was attracted to your generosity, and you were attracted to my "evil warpedness! ". Now ask him for forgiveness?? You'll be getting dragged to the borders of Pepsicola and stoned, haha. I have a gay cousin, can't stand him though! Not because he's gay, but because he really rams it down your throat (behave tipsy lool)!! "I'm here, I'm queer, get used to it" n all that ;)

Bureaucrat: Noen ganger er det ålreit, ja! Nå skal ungene i seng, og så skal juledagen hedres med et glass kortreist sprit fra Egge gård.

God jul!

Yes, just out of the blue. ;)

Jun-10-14  Shams: It's a long way to Seattle from Florida, but if you make it up here be sure to meet me for a game. Seattle and Bergen are sister cities!

Don't forget to buy a lot of guns for when you're in Florida. You won't really get a feel for the place unless you shoot at least one person on your vacation.

thegoodanarchist: How long has your forum been reopened?

Looks like you closed in early 2015, or even sooner? And maybe reopened very recently?

I am always curious about irrelevant trivia :)

Premium Chessgames Member
thegoodanarchist: <Like you I am a conneseur of silly trivia. My favorit:It is possible to lead a cow upstairs... but, not down stairs.>

My life is richer with this knowledge!

Thanks! :)

  thegoodanarchist: Also,

I think your avatar is excellent!

Premium Chessgames Member
thegoodanarchist: You wrote in my forum:

<Diademas: PS! You will have to excuse my poor English, it is after all not my native language.>

But I must say, your avatar makes up for poor English!

Who cannot help but love this giant green grinning creature?

Who cares if his English is good or bad? He is big! He is green! He is smiling ear to ear!

Children most of all will love this giant green smiling creature!

  thegoodanarchist: Hi again, <Diademas>

You have wandered onto the Rogoff forum!

Please be alert, it is rough in there. Things can get nasty and rude in there.

One of my favorite posters is <offramp>

Please read his profile, to see his advice about the Rogoff page!

thegoodanarchist: I have a mundane question for you.

I would like to know what is the climate in Bergen during the Summer?

I do not have air conditioning in my house, but sometimes it is too warm at night to cool down the house. So I am wearing shorts and a t-shirt, but still a little too warm.

In my imagination, everything is better in places where I am not living :)

offramp: I made a comment in reply to you recently. It's an Orson Welles reference... I meant no offence.
