I am a candidate master from Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada. A student of FM Kevin Gentes. A fairly handy attacker; particularly strong (24-2600) in the opening, I teach my students minor sidelines in the Queen's gambit Tarrash

   Feb-17-17 A Stefanova vs Khurtsidze, 2017 (replies)
DiscoJew: This was such an epic game can't believe no one had thus far made any comments. I just love the unique and original opening, complex middle game and grinding out that endgame to force the bishop and knight mate. Bravo to an old favorite lady player of mine, Stefanova!

DiscoJew: The power of the centralized King!
   Jul-21-16 L Dominguez vs M Vachier-Lagrave, 2016
DiscoJew: MVL God-mode enabled. GOing into the last round Maxime had the lead with 5 points, and he could be caught and stopped, by Leinier. I'm also impressed by the fortitude of blacks gut and intuition sacking the exchange in the last round and more or less easily securing a draw. Good ...

   Aug-28-15 French Championships (2015) (replies)
DiscoJew: The final, penultimate game that decided the 2015 French Championship, which saw Bauer essaying his pet 3...Nc6 French line vs 3.Nc3. He is probably the world's foremost expert on the opening, so it was nice for him to win such an important playoff game, and must have been ...
   Jul-11-15 Short vs Karpov, 2002
DiscoJew: 33...♗d2!! And black calculates 20 moves deep or 40 ply to see the forced win with 53...h2 and wins. A testament to Karpov's ice cold endgame calculating abilities; an absolutely legendary talent he had, to be able to see so deeply. Anatoly needed to properly access that ...
