May-08-13 Anand-Carlsen World Championship (2013)
| |
EXIDE: How does it matter. To the best of my knowledge Anand moved to Spain early in his career and that is his home. I doubt if he even owns a home in Chennai.

| | Feb-14-13 A Korotylev vs Z Izoria, 1998
| |
EXIDE: I have, 27.Bxf5,PxR 28.Rf1,NxB 29.RxN+,Ke8 30.RxR+,Kd7 31.Rf7+,Ne7 32.Qf5,Qd8 33.RxN+,QxR 34.BxQ wins

| | Feb-05-13 Adorjan vs H Wirthensohn, 1983
| |
EXIDE: I do not see an easy win after 30.Bd8,Qc6. In any case I missed this one completely.
| | Jan-23-13 Lilienthal vs Kotov, 1948
| |
EXIDE: Missed this one. This is harder than a 2 star. Nice ending though!!
| | Jan-14-13 L Piasetski vs L Day, 1972
| |
EXIDE: This has a twist to it. If white moves 34.Kg1 then black gives up the rook with 34....,Rh1+, 35.KxR,Qh3+ 36.Kg1,Qg2++
| | Jan-07-13 C Cacco vs Khenkin, 1998
| |
EXIDE: I think the simple 24.Rc8+ wins too. Black 24...,Nd8 is forced and white takes the black Queen after 25.Qg6+
| | Jan-01-13 A Mithil vs D Aaron, 2011
| |
EXIDE: Missed this one entirely. Not good, I wish they would reverse the board so that black is playing upward , like one would if one were playing as black. Anyway missing Tuesday puzzle is dissapointing.
| | Dec-26-12 T Gelashvili vs N Mihakis, 1998
| |
EXIDE: 22 Nxf5,Qc7 23.Rxg7,QxR 24.NxQ,KxN 25.Qf4 followed by Qg4+ etc. also wins for white.
| | Dec-04-12 G Timoshchenko vs J Bednarich, 1997
| |
EXIDE: Not sure how to close out the game. Having problems with Qf6 and black respond with Kf8. I am sure I am missing something.
