   Nov-18-09 Magnus Carlsen (replies)

Eurotrash: Little point in analyzing blitz games too deeply. But I got the impression that those opponents that went for drawish endgames almost always got punished by Carlsen. The ones who where succesful went for wild tactics instead.

Oct-09-09 Pearl Spring Chess Tournament (2009) (replies)

Eurotrash: <returnoftheking> My choice would be Jakovenko - Carlsen. Carlsen springs the Najdorf which must be a bit intimidating for white considering Kasparov's expertise. Black gets a good grip before making a slight error (or is it?) allowing white to make a passed pawn. After ...

   Aug-18-09 V Manko vs Jankowitz, 1900 (replies)

Eurotrash: I can't believe it took me a whole minute.

Jul-30-09 M Umansky vs The World, 2009 (replies)

Eurotrash: <ounos> Why take the queen when you can mate?

   May-19-09 M-Tel Masters (2009) (replies)

Eurotrash: Carlsen might have had a few tries for a win, but it looks like he had his mind set on a draw today.

   May-18-09 J Becerra-Rivero vs R Robson, 2009 (replies)

Eurotrash: Young (14yr) Robson did pretty well in this tournament, with a 4.5/9 score.

   May-14-09 J Esser vs Breyer, 1916 (replies)

Eurotrash: Took me a while, but I got it! I wasn't 100% sure though, I thought I might have missed something.

Eurotrash: <timhortons>Forgive me for being cynical, but it seems to me the production company are looking to cash in by doing a "paul potts" sequel. They may call it reality TV, but thats about 98% TV and 2% reality.

   Feb-26-09 Topalov-Kamsky Match (2009) (replies)

Eurotrash: Kamsky is a great blitz player, but the difficult thing is to change tempo.

   Feb-25-09 Linares (2009) (replies)

Eurotrash: <Kaspykov> That's 3.5 for Carlsen. Chessgames still hasnt updated his score for last round. Grishuk's score is disgustingly good.
