Mar-07-11 Ulf Andersson
| |
Festy: Ulf has to be in the list of Top 10 greatest end game players ever.
| | Nov-03-10 Tigran Vartanovich Petrosian
| |
Festy: <maelith>: ..and Kramnik said Karpov was purely positional and Petrosian was purely strategical. He also mentioned that Petrosian's positional play was not as strong as Karpov.

| | Oct-29-10 Seirawan vs Ulf Andersson, 1983
| |
Festy: <Phony Benoni>: You are right. One of the most unique pawn structure I've ever seen.
| | Oct-29-10 J C Diaz vs Ulf Andersson, 1976
| |
Festy: Another rock solid win for mighty Andersson. The endgame was 'another day at the office' for him. :D

| | Oct-25-10 Queen's Pawn Game (D02)
| |
Festy: <Nuncle> and <MaxxLange>: I agree that London system could lead to a boring game. BUT only if black is also contend with a draw. If black decides to play aggressively, London games could be really exciting after the opening moves.

| | Oct-25-10 Peter Leko
| |
Festy: I don't really understand the bashing Leko gets from time to time. Playing like Leko requires pin point accuracy which should be applauded. I've never seen a player opening with e4 regularly and playing superb positional chess like most d4 players do.

| | Dec-01-08 Anatoly Karpov
| |
Festy: Why Karpov's games with 'English opening' are not mentioned in the 'Most Played Opening' table ??
