Geezer Noir
Member since May-24-16 · Last seen Sep-08-18
Geezer Noir is an elderly man living in retirement in Tucson, Arizona. I have recently renewed my interest in chess after having abandoned the game for about half a century. In my youth, I enjoyed playing the game competitively at the chess club level. Now, however, I no longer wish to compete across a chess board. My interest now primarily is in the history of the game. I am enjoying’s database of games dating all the way back to the fifteenth century; and I am having fun ‘playing’ many of these games via “Guess the Move”. Also I have begun what will be a very modest (due to monetary restrictions) collection of chess pieces. I find now that looking at and handling chess pieces well-crafted from fine woods is a very aesthetically pleasing experience for me. So I guess I’m a bit boring, but I am, once again, having fun with chess.
