   Jun-14-12 Aronian vs Morozevich, 2012

Ishaan: Probably both had taken it seriously to dedicate this game to Tal. Exciting play by these two. Wonder when our current WC Anand will come out of his intentionally passive tournament play since he became a WC.

   May-30-12 Anand-Gelfand World Chess Championship (2012) (replies)

Ishaan: I think this WC was a very easy affair for Anand. One thing I have observed about Anand is that, unlike other GMs he is not too worried about retaining a bishop-pair. He is quite happy with a Knight vs Bishop situation... something I am observing distinctly in his games.

   Sep-04-11 Svidler vs Kramnik, 2011

Ishaan: A player of Kramnik's caliber, IMO, would have no qualms trying out new things against relatively weaker opponents in relatively less recognized tournaments. May be that is why this sacrifice.

Sep-04-11 Aronian vs Anand, 2011 (replies)

Ishaan: Anand has always used his Knights to great effect. The Knight in this game was a real irritant for Aronian.

Jun-05-11 XXIV Magistral de Ajedrez Ciudad de Leon (2011) (replies)

Ishaan: I wonder if Aronian is to Anand what Kramnik was to Kasparov! Doesn't mean Anand is inferior to Aronian because Kasparov will never be considered inferior to Kramnik.

May-27-11 World Championship Candidates Final (2011) (replies)

Ishaan: With Carlsen opting out of the candidates match and Aronian losing out to Grischuk, I think Anand will have little problems retaining his WC status. With all due respect to Gelfand, personally I think he won't be a Kramnik or Topalov level opponent for Anand.

   Mar-23-11 20th Amber Tournament (Blindfold) (2011) (replies)

Ishaan: Aronian is having a fantastic tournament here! I am not too bothered by a relatively poor performance by Anand because since becoming world champion in the classical format, Anand's tournament performance has been intentionally (i guess) sub-par.

   Jan-28-11 Tata Steel (2011) (replies)

Ishaan: Carlsen!!! Defeating Kramnik in an endgame is feat that only few have achieved so far. Great fighting play from Magnus, what stamina this young guy has! Don't care about Carlsen's results against lower ranked players, but he faces the best, he matches them in every department.

Dec-10-10 McShane vs Kramnik, 2010 (replies)

Ishaan: Getting bored by this McShane-Kramnik one, Anand-Carlsen is going much better! Seems Anand has a plus with good initiative. Probably Chessgames.com should start provide alternative discussion forum on other 3 games too so that members can choose and discuss those games live.

Oct-29-10 Nanjing Pearl Spring Tournament (2010) (replies)

Ishaan: <bharatiy> Anand might have got easier for Carlsen, since Carlsen is mentored by Kasparov now. Obviously Kramnik remains a problem as Kasparov also could never really dominate Kramnik.
