Aug-15-17 St. Louis Rapid & Blitz (Rapid) (2017) (replies)

Isilimela: When you don't have anything to prove (been there done that, got the world champ T-shirt!), you can just enjoy your chess. And that's what Gazza will do I guess!

Jun-09-17 Mecking vs Shirov, 2017 (replies)

Isilimela: Wow - I had also thought GM Mecking was out of the picture altogether. Great to seem him back in action. Where have you been all these years ??

May-15-17 B Ider vs Yifan Hou, 2017 (replies)

Isilimela: I would have titled this "Queen t-hou-gh Queenless" !

   Apr-21-17 Tal vs T Zeids, 1955

Isilimela: Against Tal one would have to be very nervous of a knight sitting on g5 ready to strike. Sooner or later you know you are going to hit with either Nxh7 or Nxf7 as per game!

Dec-27-16 World Rapid Championship (2016) (replies)

Isilimela: Young guns on the rampage!

Dec-26-16 Petrosian vs Kotov, 1952 (replies)

Isilimela: I think I would just entitle this game "Kot ov"!

   Nov-26-16 N Zdebskaja vs Shen Yang, 2008

Isilimela: Some clever tactics justify Black's 10... Ne3!

   Nov-23-16 Tal vs Neibult, 1991

Isilimela: Engines indicate black is ok up to move 15 when 15 ... e5 ? is the start of all his problems. Tal says thanks very much for knight outpost on f5 and control of a2-g8 diagonal!

Oct-28-16 Polugaevsky vs Karpov, 1992 (replies)

Isilimela: Don't quite understand what's going on in this game and why white resigns when he does ? Can someone please comment particularly re the interesting deployment of Karpov's knights to b8 and a1 ?!

Oct-12-16 P Mutesi vs Amen Miladi, 2016 (replies)

Isilimela: I really enjoyed this game - you don't have to be 2600 + to show artistry and creativity in chess! White just kept believing her attack would break through and it did!
