LameJokes55: Thanks Sally for the Vaganian Vs Planinc game. What a beauty! Reminds us of none other than Morphy.
Apr-09-18 Vitiugov vs Caruana, 2018 (replies)
LameJokes55: Talking of unconventional, MC placed passive bishops at be7 and bd7; took king for a stroll ke8, d8, c8 and b8. MVL didn't play c4 in queen's pawn opening and moved queen to d3. Cracking last round.

LameJokes55: Yeah. Fabi is playing like dream since the candidates. Congrats the challenger!

LameJokes55: In the 16th game of their w.c. match (1985), Karpov moved his knight from k-side (ng1) to q-side (nb1). The flight ng1, nf3, nd4, nb5, na3 and nb1 looked impressive. Unfortunately, the trend never caught on, since he lost the game.

Mar-27-18 Grischuk vs Caruana, 2018 (replies)
LameJokes55: Yes RT! It's scary to be refused the draw a pawn up!
Mar-26-18 Caruana vs Aronian, 2018 (replies)
LameJokes55: Kramnik had real chances against Ding with queen on the board. Ding's king was exposed. But he allowed queen exchange. Now it looks drawish.
   Mar-25-18 W So vs Karjakin, 2018 (replies)
LameJokes55: Modern rest days are rest days in name only. The reality is, the chess players go through their opponent's full opening repertoire on this day. In doing so, they spend more energy on rest day than they spend on playing day while playing chess.
