Leibnoob: Oh! I played 19 Bd6 pinning the bishop !! I thought I was clever (since I saw the back mate), but a simple Qxb6 counter that. Of course, the queen sacrifice is way better :D

Leibnoob: dzechiel : When you make your full analyze, do you resist to see the move? I mean: When I looked at that position, I just saw that the pinned, the free queen pawn even before looking at who's got the advantage, etc.

Leibnoob: I've played the endgame of white for fun; that's not a trivial win..

Leibnoob: Monday on Saturday!! (Ok, but the fact that I knew it was a puzzle made me look for a forced mate.. which I wouldn't have necessary do in a real game).

Leibnoob: first: kg4, etc., mate then, and only then, I looked at the other pieces lol

Apr-17-10 Petrosian vs Gligoric, 1959 (replies)

Leibnoob: wow, I got it :) However, with b6 and cxb6, the obvious move isn't c7 because black rock can go on C file. The right move, I think, is to move white rook on C, and then, if possible, pc7.
