Hi. I'm a chess fan, but a fairly weak player (~1400)

The legends whose games interest me the most are: Paul Morphy, Mikhail Tal, Bent Larsen and R.J. Fischer. I also like N. Short, J. Speelman, V. Anand and the 2 K's.

I won a blindfold game against a friend once (I was, he wasn't). That was both quite unexpected and quite funny!

LucB: <If Carlsen is the Matt Damon of chess, then Topalov is the Sean Penn.> Good catch <Mr 1100>! I always associated Carlsen with Damon myself, and Grischuk with the French singer/composer/actor Serge Gainsbourg. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0006092/... Oh, and Happy Birthday ...

LucB: By the way, that was one miserable tournament for Caruana, no? :S

Feb-17-15 Anand vs Nakamura, 2015 (replies)

LucB: <CIO> I got the same impression too. It seemed like Nakamura was saying in essence: "I might have lost this, but I can still spew out variations faster than anybody else!"
