Hi. I'm a chess fan, but a fairly weak player (OTB 1300)

The legends whose games interest me the most are: Paul Morphy, Mikhail Tal, Bent Larsen and R.J. Fischer. I also like N. Short, J. Speelman, V. Anand and the 2 K's. Of late I've become a fan of Tigran Petrosian.

I won a blindfold game against a friend once (I was, he wasn't). That was both quite unexpected and quite funny! Full Member

LucB: <What more do you want?> Right now: a beer; time to head for the fridge.

LucB: <Chess24 are charging for live video? Dream on!> You can view it the next day on YT. There's no footage of the players, just the commentators Gustafsson and Svidler analysing and making jokes (especially Gustfasson).

LucB: <What the heck am I missing?> Nothing. It's a mate-in-x after 26. Qxf6, with x<6 I'm sure (sorry I'm still in exam marking mode!).

LucB: Re: Ivanchuk.. Definitely "one of a kind", "original", and all of the above! Sorry if "strange" sounded a bit harsh.. I meant it in a good way!

LucB: <Sally>: interesting fact about Kasparov. I would never have guessed, but when you consider whom he was playing, perhaps it's not so surprising.

LucB: <The Kings Domain>: well said.

LucB: Happy Birthday CG!!
Dec-04-16 Carlsen - Karjakin World Championship (2016) (replies)
LucB: Interesting post <chancho>. I smiled when they referred to Anand as a 'relic of the pre-computer age'! Journalists need to keep it simple, n'est-ce pas?

LucB: No problems, <KP>, and thanks for the link!
