Marvy: RIP GM Evans -- His great writing will be miissed. I bought the book "New Ideas in Chess" when I was a teenager. My rating jumped 300 points because of it. I also remember his great interview with Ray Charles for Chess Life.

Marvy: He was co-principal of my junior high school JHS 52 in manhattan. A very nice guy. He brought Arthur Bisguier to the school for a simul. That is how I got hooked. RIP Mr. Hanauer
