Jul-26-09 Adams vs V Pechenkin, 2009
| |
|
Micah Hughey: Adams didn't look upset. But he wanted to test his opponent right to the end. And in fact, FM Pechenkin took more than a minute to think about his final move, 89...Kf8. He didn't want to blow it after five hours.

| | Jul-22-09 R Gardner vs J Daniluk, 2009
| |
|
Micah Hughey: This was the very last game to finish in the whole tournament. It went about 30 minutes longer than any other game.

| | Jul-22-09 Adams vs J Ventura, 2009
| |
|
Micah Hughey: There were no sections. Everyone was in one big Open tournament, with 203 players. And Jason Ventura wasn't embarrassed by this game, he was thrilled to play such a famous player, and the crowd loved it.

| | Jul-22-09 Shirov vs B Miller, 2009
| |
|
Micah Hughey: I was the "lucky tournament Organizer" in Kasputin's post above.
His opponent, Brian Miller, was pretty good at analyzing without a board at Lux Steakhouse downtown.

| | Jul-22-09 M Barron vs J Green, 2009
| |
|
Micah Hughey: That certainly looks like a better choice, Zenchess.

| | Jul-20-09 D Kagramanov vs Shirov, 2009
| |
|
Micah Hughey: Everyone keep in mind that the one on the right is only 15...
Not trying to buzzkill, but lets be respectful.

|
| | Jul-19-09 Shirov vs R Panjwani, 2009
| |
|
Micah Hughey: Shirov said that Panjwani missed an "easy draw" in the bishop ending.
