BVer: well done on the ID average one, very fast. Dumb question - knowing the game, where/how do you find the ID? I have only gone ID => game when clue hunting!

BVer: never mind, figured it out....duh.

SwitchingQuylthulg: <MostlyAverageJoe: Thanks for the kind words! I suspected that you might have beed in the hot pursuit, and each time I got closer, getting more and more tachycardia in expectation of the prize getting snatched...>

Heh, I have much the same problem. One day the Klu Hunt will kill me... though it sounds like a good way to go :)

Fell prey to the old mistake of closing the tab with the winning game in it. You know the one :-)

Merry Christmas and a happy 2014!

SwitchingQuylthulg: <MostlyAverageJoe: Yeah, been there, done that. Sometimes more than once per klu, too.>

I had a variation on that earlier today, with klu #14. I accidentally closed the same game twice and had to go back and look for it... luckily (or perhaps not) it was the wrong game :)

One of those annoying ones with reams and reams of annotations so you have to scroll down to see if the banner's there.

Domdaniel: <MAJ> Welcome back. I've heard of the Fingerslip Variation, but <Fingerslip Reactivation> borders on the ridiculous.

Though I remember once 'solving' a klu by accident. Mysterious are the ways of Nuklu.

I look forward to your own Klu submission.

Jan-24-15  sharpnova: <MostlyAverageJoe>

You made a post on that 2002 Onischuk Nimzo-Indian game with his brilliant 16. Bxh6.

You claimed that the opening book was followed until Move 18 I believe.

How can this be correct when the move allowing Bxh6, 15..h6, was an outright blunder?

I looked in a few opening databases online and none of them show 15..h6 other than to mention the two blunders in which it has been played in history.

I think you may need to learn how to read an opening book because you are imagining things that do not exist.

Jan-24-15  sharpnova: Not to mention.. learn to read an opening book before you start making comments about them.
Jan-24-15  sharpnova: Also your method for measuring puzzle difficulty is incredibly naive.

I read through it to confirm but I was pretty certain it would be from the start when you started talking about setting the ELO of your engine.

Setting the ELO? Are you kidding me? What are you using.. Windows 7's Chess Titans? Lol.
