  jessicafischerqueen: Hello <MostlyAverageJoe>!

Sorry to interrupt, but on a "heads up" from <switching owls for thugs> I was hoping you could help me with some Polish pronunciation.

How would a Polish person pronounce:

Savielly Tartakower

Szymon Winawer

Mieczysław Najdorf

If you could help me on this I'd be very grateful.

Best regards,
Jess

Call for Aneta’s voters! Vote early, vote often!

Dear chess friends! Great final poll of regional daily KLADENSKY DENIK for the most sympathetic baby of year 2010 has started and my little girl needs your support again. The poll is running since January 22, 12.00 CET, till February 5, 12.00 CET. The rules are the same as the last time, i.e. it is possible to send one vote after every 60 minutes from one IP address. If you want to support Aneta, just click on http://kladensky.denik.cz/miminka/m..., flag the name <Aneta Červenková> in the grey box on the right side of the screen and hit the <hlasovat> button below. If you see a notification “Děkujeme za váš hlas” (Thank you for your vote) after that, then you have voted successfully. And if you see a notification “Došlo k opakovanému hlasování” (Repeated voting has occurred), then you should try to vote a bit later again....:-D

Honza Cervenka: Call for Aneta’s voters! Vote early, vote often!

We are losing the race with a great favourite Alex Loukota. Despite of getting in just two days more votes than in both previous one week long rounds the gap between leader and our girl is widening more and more. They are ahead of us for more than one thousand votes now. Your help is much needed!   BVer: well done on the ID average one, very fast. Dumb question - knowing the game, where/how do you find the ID? I have only gone ID => game when clue hunting!

SwitchingQuylthulg: <MostlyAverageJoe: Thanks for the kind words! I suspected that you might have beed in the hot pursuit, and each time I got closer, getting more and more tachycardia in expectation of the prize getting snatched...>

Heh, I have much the same problem. One day the Klu Hunt will kill me... though it sounds like a good way to go :)

Fell prey to the old mistake of closing the tab with the winning game in it. You know the one :-)

Merry Christmas and a happy 2014!

SwitchingQuylthulg: <MostlyAverageJoe: Yeah, been there, done that. Sometimes more than once per klu, too.>

I had a variation on that earlier today, with klu #14. I accidentally closed the same game twice and had to go back and look for it... luckily (or perhaps not) it was the wrong game :)

One of those annoying ones with reams and reams of annotations so you have to scroll down to see if the banner's there.

Domdaniel: <MAJ> Welcome back. I've heard of the Fingerslip Variation, but <Fingerslip Reactivation> borders on the ridiculous.

Though I remember once 'solving' a klu by accident. Mysterious are the ways of Nuklu.

I look forward to your own Klu submission.
