Dave Knight at your service.

I'm engaged to be married in a few months and enjoying playing chess with my Dad (a pretty good former club player), in local tournaments and on ICC.

My favorite player is Alekhine.

Wow that profile is old, I've been married for almost 2 years now and I have a son named Marcus. I haven't played in a tourney in a while because of a dispute with my local director (probably my fault....oh well) but I'll probably get back into it again in the next year or two.

You know it's a sad feeling when I realize that I did all this work a few years ago and was beginning to get better only to quit playing for 2 years and forget everything I learned. It's the same thing with my money, I get some saved up and then go and spend it all. Such is life I suppose.

Cheers and good luck to all who read this!

MrMrsKnight: Congrats GM Kamsky, it's been a long 19 years but I bet it feels worth the wait!

MrMrsKnight: Am I the only one who had no idea he had a deformed hand? I have never seen that mentioned anywhere until I was reading on his wikipedia. I even have Soltis' book about him.

MrMrsKnight: I guess he is a citizen of Brazil but I'm 99 percent sure that he's actually from Argentina.

MrMrsKnight: I know he beat the pants off of me when I played him back in a high school championship. Very strong player, also I remember he wore extremely thick glasses.

MrMrsKnight: He (Monokroussos) has a thing on chessbase every week that I can never access for some reason. He does live in Indiana and I think he works at Notre Dame.

MrMrsKnight: My favorite thing to play against e4. I'm a sucker for these kinds of openings, I actually believe that white gets the better of it in the Dragon but my personal favorite game was one as well. I don't know, it just seems like I've been playing it so long that it's kind of like ...
